Brittany is fantastic! When my 3.5 yr old son started Speech with her, he had about 25 spontaneous single words. He made quick progress, gained confidence, and thoroughly enjoyed his sessions. After a few short months, he was starting to put 3-4 words or approximations of words together! Hearing him say, “I love you” for the first time made me cry and I have Brittany to thank for that! She is absolutely the best! I highly recommend her!” -Katie Alfieri
My 3.5 year old son Wyatt has made great progress over the past four months of sessions with Brittany. I was skeptical that zoom sessions would keep his attention but he stays engaged the whole 45 mins and is starting to speak in longer clearer sentences and articulate his needs better. We have had several speech therapists over the past two years and Brittany is definitely the best." - Jessica Z.
My son has been working with Erin and we could not be happier. He greatly enjoys the sessions. Erin strikes the perfect balance of making activities fun and impactful. The video format works quite well and eliminates the stress/hassle/time burden of traveling to appointments. My son has still been able to form a strong rapport with Erin despite all of the sessions being remote. I highly recommend WorldPlay Pediatric Speech-Language therapy and am grateful for the wonderful services they provide." - Laura Burke
We’ve had a great experience working with Leah! Our daughter enjoys meeting with her each week and is enthusiastic about the fun and engaging activities they do together. Highly recommend!" -Laura S.
After months of research we started working with Brittany to customize a lesson plan for our 6 year old son. Brittany is great with my son, and is very thoughtful and patient as she goes through his weekly sessions. Take home "homework" is also provided to encourage practice in between sessions. My son enjoys working with Brittany, she incorporates his favorite toys, games and interests during each session and makes it a fun relaxing environment to learn. We have seen vast improvements over the past year and my son is more aware (in a good way) of pronunciation and clarity and is more confident when he speaks.
Over the past few months, we have had telehealth (virtual) sessions, which have also been great. Brittany is still able to conduct the session effectively while using interactive games via screen-sharing. The flexibility has been great, with availability on the weekends.
We are so happy to have found Brittany/ WordPlay and highly recommend her!" -Lisa Palmer
WordPlay was excellent. They came to my house, made my daughter feel at ease and my daughter actually looked forward to the sessions with Meaghan. Highly recommend!” - A.S.
I cannot recommend Brittany highly enough. She is a patient, kind, fun, warm, and inspired practitioner. My son received an early diagnosis of Childhood Apraxia of Speech and he worked with Brittany for four years. I credit her with teaching my son to talk, one speech sound at a time. The gift Brittany gave my son and our family is simply invaluable. We feel so lucky to have worked with her and benefited from her incredible services." -Emily B.
My family got to know Brittany in 2009. My son, then four years old, had a lisp when talking. Brittany had the patience and kindness required to work with and motivate him. Through regular visits, simple exercises and with continuous encouragement, Brittany enabled my son to properly articulate every syllable and within a year and a half, he was talking and articulating all sounds properly.
My daughter was seven years old, when she started working with Brittany. She had trouble with the mechanics of chewing and swallowing food properly, which prevented her from eating with her mouth closed. Brittany designed a structured set of exercises to help my daughter understand how to correct her swallow. Once again, in less than a year, her issue was resolved.
Brittany is a one of a kind, caring therapist, who designs programs destined to sort out speech and language issues, however big or small." -D.F.
We started speech therapy in July for our three year old, who had language delay. From the inquiry to starting the sessions, Brittany was responsive, professional, and organized. I loved that communication with her has never been a problem. The summer sessions were all virtual and then we transitioned to at home twice weekly sessions in September. The speech therapist who worked with us in the summer, Leah, and our son’s current speech therapist, Andrea, are both top notch. I have been very impressed with how thoughtful and individualized the interventions have been. They are also the two most patient people I have ever met, with my son and with us parents as well. They listen and address our feedback and questions. The parent-child “homework” are all very manageable, helpful and specifically tailored for our son’s needs. I’m grateful to have found them, and would highly recommend them to others." -A.J.
Brittany worked miracles with both my children who saw her for different speech difficulties. She is a gem!" -Jen F.
We were a little worried and anxious when we realized our second child, Connor, was speech delayed as this was new terrain for us. Connor wasn’t even trying to say words, though he was so expressive and animated in other ways. We worried about whether he would be afflicted forever or for much of his childhood, and whether his struggles would affect his otherwise happy disposition. We also feared that he would dread going to speech therapy and even going to the sessions would become a regular battle among us. Boy, were we wrong. A colleague had mentioned a great experience with Brittany and we could immediately see why. Brittany was able to counsel us and explain what was likely going on with Connor and how he could develop speech. She was a great resource for us. Much more importantly, she hit it off and was so skilled with Connor from the moment he met her. Brittany has a warm, friendly, nurturing demeanor and Connor took to her right away. Her play-based approach made Connor enjoy and even look forward to sessions with her. It’s also clear the approach worked. We noticed progress right away. He was proud of his new skills and interested in trying to speak. He did do without frustration and angst, even when it was difficult for him. Connor made rapid progress but even after he was well-within his age-appropriate range, we kept taking him to sessions with Brittany. We loved seeing the strides he was making to the point that speech was a strength of his. We also couldn’t bear moving on from Brittany, who had come to hold a treasured place in our whole family. We feel forever indebted to her for helping our son in ways we could not and in a manner that was joyful and built self-confidence for him. We cannot recommend Brittany highly enough." -Beth Reilly Callahan
I absolutely recommend WordPlay! My nonverbal son is starting to talk and use words and is increasing his vocabulary weekly with Lauren. I am so excited for what the future will hold." -Jennifer Leone
We've had a wonderful experience with WordPlay. I was skeptical about virtual therapy with a two year old but they've managed to keep my son engaged for each session and he is genuinely excited to participate. More importantly, I am thrilled to see progress with my son's speech and feel better equipped to supplement his development while at home." -A.L.
We reached out to Brittany at WordPlay to help my 9-year son with his fluency. She really took the time to understand his background, challenges, personality, etc. and took these things into consideration during each session. My son personally liked her and they connected well. In addition, the virtual aspect of it was really nice -- my son could do it privately and on the computer which he enjoys. Her follow-up and assessments were fantastic and I can not say enough great things about her and the work she has done!" -Alison Howard
My 4-year-old son with ASD works with Erin at WorldPlay Pediatric Speech-Language Therapy. While he has only had a handful of sessions so far, I couldn’t be happier with the progress he is making! The online platform works great for our family, especially during these crazy times. Erin is able to hold my son’s attention during the whole 45-minute session, and I find it extremely helpful being involved with the speech sessions, as it allows Erin to share tips and tricks with me that I am able to carry through during the week. Erin really caters the books, games, and songs to my son’s interests, and she keeps the sessions interactive and fun. The owner, Brittany, is wonderful. She's incredibly responsive and thorough when answering my questions. Overall, I am incredibly impressed and pleased with WordPlay Pediatric Speech-Language Therapy, and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for Speech-Language Therapy services."- Tiffany B.
My 13 yo ASD child has started speech therapy with WordPlay therapist Amanda, and I am extremely happy with the service. Sessions are 45 min, the therapist provides a feedback after every session and send a homework to solidify the skill. Amanda is very warm and personable, is able to engage and interact with my son very well. I would highly recommend this service."- Elena T.
Reached out to Brittany for speech for two of my children with ASD! Had services in my home for both kids within the month! My kids loved their therapist and made great progress! It’s very clear that Brittany and her staff are very passionate about what they do! Would highly recommend!" -Meghan McGovern
My child has Meaghan for a speech therapist. She works so well with my daughter. Very knowledgeable. The owner, Brittany always responds to my emails with promptness. Very professional. Brittany understands the importance of speech services for our child." -MC M
My son has had sessions with WordPlay for a few months while now and his awareness how he says sounds and words has improved. Even on his craziest days, his WordPlay Speech Therapist seems to reel him in and help him to learn. He is on the younger side and is already showing great improvement on his speech! Thank you WordPlay for all the help and accommodating to our schedule!" -Amanda W.

I like the Teletherapy platform and Kaylie is very thoughtful and creative in her approach with my son. He’s really progressing. He’s like a completely different student than he was a year ago. A year ago, he couldn’t say ‘mama.’ Yesterday he said ‘Mama come,’ and then, ‘Oh look, a kang-roo’ to show me something with a picture of a kangaroo on it.” -N.B., Massachusetts
Brittany has been so wonderful to work with from the start! She called me right away after I inquired about speech services, to get information and set us up with a therapist shortly after. She was so sweet and caring. She even jumped through hoops working with our insurance company over benefit coverage. We have been very happy with our therapist, Kaylie, as well. Our son really enjoys working with her. She has offered very helpful tips and "homework" to use as follow up from our sessions to reinforce skills." -Nicole Kakas
Our four year old son has a substantial speech delay as the primary challenge of his autism, and despite my efforts, I’ve never heard him refer to me, his mother, as anything other than “mmm” (but of course he has been able to say “dada” for a few years). Kaylie was able to get him to start saying “mama” and use it correctly in context. Among her many other successes with our son’s speech and feeding skills, this particular one almost brought me to tears of happiness. Thank you!” -Parent of Preschool-Aged Child, Needham, MA
The Entire WordPlay team was terrific. They supported our daughter who had some speech delays in making so much progress. We are grateful to the wonderful therapist Courtney who came to our home for in person sessions. Thanks to all of you for the wonderful care and support for our daughter!" -Maggie C.
We had a wonderful experience working remotely with Leah. She was friendly, patient, and informative. She put a lot of thought into her lessons and provided good ideas for homework that were easy to integrate into our daily lives. She helped us navigate our state early intervention assessment as well. We would highly recommend her services." -Brooke A.
My 9 year old daughter absolutely loved working with WordPlay. She would look forward to speech days to work with her speech therpist. Her speech development was the most beneficial of all therapies we had tried in the past. We would highly recommend WordPlay." -Kim W.
I can’t say enough great things about WordPlay Pediatric Speech-Language. My daughter was a few months under a year old, when the pandemic hit and socialization stopped. Although we had close family and friends to interact with, it was tough for her. As she approached her 2nd birthday, we spoke to our pediatrician about speech delay concerns and began early intervention sessions, but they were a mix of virtual and in person, mainly masked, and hard for my daughter to really make progress. A great friend recommended, Brittany and her company, WordPlay to us. Brittany is a true professional, understood where we were, the frustrations we had and helped us get ‘re-started’ again with in home sessions. We worked weekly, with the amazingly talented, Leah. My daughter was receptive right away to her, and she quickly identified her ‘challenges’ and ‘strengths.’ Week by week, through repeated steps, processes, and a fun bag of toys, she made real progress. Leaps and bounds. Leah became like family, our entire family looked forward to seeing her, and my daughter truly for the first time, seemed confident in her speech. As we started pre-school this fall, we all felt like she was ready to show her new skills and speech off, and see where she goes. We plan to keep in touch with Leah/Brittany and schedule a session when we think she needs it. My husband and I have learned so much and are truly thankful to WordPlay for their help, support, professionalism and education, but most importantly helping our daughter feel comfortable and confident with her speech and language every day." -Megan T.
Wordplay was excellent, they came to my house, made my daughter feel at ease and my daughter actually looked forward to the sessions with Meaghan. Highly recommend!" -Aimee S.
I found WordPlay on a google search. After my son’s speech therapist’s son moved out of state, we struggled to find another therapist whom he felt comfortable to work with. I reached out to WordPlay and Brittany responded right away. She gave me all the information I needed to know including what I needed to ask my insurance, and she gave me some options of therapists and times that would work for us. Leah, the speech therapist she set us up with, is a perfect fit for my son. My son, age 9, meets each week virtually, which at first, I wasn’t sold on. But he actually is much more comfortable in front of a screen than in-person, and he has the added benefit of seeing his mouth formations in the screen, so it has been such a perfect set-up. He’s been working with Leah for about 2 months now- and we’ve already noticed such an improvement. And he is able to self correct when prompted, and his confidence about his speech is clearly improving as well. I also have to mention that my son has so much fun during his speech sessions. I never hear a complaint from him about doing them, and he is always in such a happy mood afterwards. And after each session, Leah gives us such a good debrief on his improvement and “homework” to work on between sessions. We’ve just had the ideal experience with WordPlay!" -Amy G.
We currently do virtual sessions with Leah & can’t say enough how great it’s been! We moved here from CA, we were nervous about finding speech because our son got attached to his recent speech therapist he had for previous 3 years. He’s been doing speech from a very young age to assist with his apraxia but prior to Covid all in person. Doing virtual sessions with an 8 year old can be challenging instead of in person but Leah keeps his attention while keeping him focused. We get a weekly summary with things to practice with him. They’re extremely responsive & do a great job with scheduling/being accommodating. Would highly recommend WordPlay!!!" -Haley T.
