Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a motor speech disorder. Children with CAS have difficulty coordinating the muscle movements necessary to produce sounds, syllables, words and phrases. Children with CAS know what they want to say, however, they have difficulty getting the words out. Brittany is a PROMPT (PROMPTS for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) trained Speech-Language Therapist. Brittany incorporates the PROMPT technique into her comprehensive therapy sessions, to support children who present with CAS.
