Emergent Literacy

Children with Speech and Language Disorders are more likely to exhibit difficulty with reading and writing. Signs that your child may be at risk for reading and writing difficulties include, lack of interest in joint book reading or nursery rhymes, difficulty understanding or following directions, difficulty learning or remembering letter names, and/or difficulty identifying or remembering letters in his or her own name.

If you feel your child may be struggling with pre-literacy skills, or if you feel they could use an additional boost of support in this area, call or e-mail Brittany, to discuss your concerns in more detail.
